Clipped under the shingle
Every clip goes onto the bottom edge of the shingle. Nothing is stapled or nailed into your fascia, so there are no holes in the wood and no punctures in the roof.
No wire hanging out
No slack looping between runs and no extra wire swinging off the eave. From the road you see bulbs in a straight line, not the cord that carries them.
Down again after
I come back and take them down. That is part of doing the job, not something you are left standing on a ladder in January to sort out yourself.

It starts with looking at the house. Which runs are reachable, where the roof changes pitch, what the gables do, where the power is. That is what decides how much wire the job takes, and it is why nobody who has not seen your roof can give you a real number over the phone.
Then the wire gets cut to those measurements. Commercial-grade C9 bulbs and wire — the sort that is built to be put up, taken down and put up again — rather than the pre-made strands sold in a box. Bulb spacing stays even along the whole run, which is most of why a professional install reads differently from the road.
The clips go under the lip of the shingle. No staples, no nails, no holes in the fascia board. Nothing gets driven into the roof, and when the lights come down in the new year there is nothing left behind to point at.
After that it is mine to keep working. If something goes out or a run gets knocked, you call me. And when the season is over I come back and take it down.
